Please note that you should make the necessary arrangements for hotel reservation in time as May is considered a touristic period in Greece. In order to facilitate your coming in Corinth, please, find below a list of hotels which are all located 5 to 10 minutes foot distance form the Department of Social and Educational Policy. Prices range from 30 to 50 Euros, depending on the number of accompanying persons, the breakfast included. Based on special deal for the conference needs suggested hotels are:

B) For those wishing to combine a touristic stay and work there is the option to stay in Loutraki area, the seaside town next to Corinth. Please note that in order to reach the Department form Loutraki area you should take the local bus to Corinth, a 20 minutes route. There are many hotels in Loutraki, due to its touristic activities; however, they are more expensive, the prices ranging from 45 to 55 Euros. Based on special deal for the conference needs suggested hotels are:

In addition, I would like to inform you that reaching Corinth from the Athens airport is extremely easy as there is direct connection via the suburban railway every hour. As soon as you arrive in Corinth station you may take either the local bus or a taxi to reach your hotel. Alternatively, in case you don’t have heavy luggage, you can walk a 15-20 minutes average distance to the hotels of Corinth. In case you prefer Loutraki area you should take a taxi.

As the conference day approaches I would suggest you to make in time all necessary arrangements for your arrival in Corinth.
Regarding your accommodation I would strongly suggest to opt for the hotels located in the City of Corinth. The closest and most convenient hotel is the Hotel Korinthos suggested in our last email communication. In booking your room don’t forget to mention that you participate in the May conference.

As for your transfer you have the following options.

A. Shuttle from and to Athens:

As soon as you arrive in Eleftherios Venizelos Athens airport you can take the bus, x93, which transfers you to the Kifisos Bus Station. From this station you take the shuttle to Corinth as follows:

Every half hour. The bus reaches the centre of Corinth
(Bus stop: Courthouse - Perivolakia Square)

Duration: 60 to 70 minutes.
Stopping distance from the university 10 minutes away on foot.

B. Suburban from and to Athens:

This is the easiest and most convenient way to reach Corinth and of course highly suggested. As soon as you arrive in Eleftherios Venizelos Athens airport you take the suburban (Line: Athens to Kiato). The Corinth suburban station is the pre-final stop of the journey.

- Routes from Corinth suburban station to city centre (Bus stop: Courthouse – Perivolakia Square). Each 40 minutes.
- Routes from University (Bus stop: Courthouse – Perivolakia Square) to Suburban station: every hour
Duration: 5 to 10 minutes

NOTE: For your transfer you can also take a taxi at the entrance of the local suburban station.
